Word to PDF Converter

Convert Word (.docx) documents into PDF files with fonts, headings, tables and images kept in place. Preview the exact printed page before converting, pick which pages to keep, merge several documents into one PDF, and optionally add PDF/A archival metadata - all inside your browser.

How to convert Word to PDF

The page accepts one or more DOCX files and reads each file in the browser. You can set the page size, margins, and page range before the conversion runs. The PDF is built from reconstructed DOCX content, so a complex Word layout can reflow.

How to convert Word to PDF

  1. Drop one or more .docx files into Drop .docx files here, or select browse files.
  2. Choose Letter or A4 under Page size, then choose Normal, Narrow, or Wide under Margins.
  3. Enter a value in Page range (applied per document), or leave it blank to include every page.
  4. Review the preview and select Convert. Uploads and setting changes also schedule a new conversion.
  5. Select Merge all documents into a single PDF (in upload order) or Add PDF/A archival metadata if you need either option.

How to convert selected DOCX pages to PDF

Page range (applied per document) accepts page numbers and comma-separated ranges. Leave it blank for all pages. The value 1-3, 5 keeps pages 1, 2, 3, and 5 from each uploaded document.

Input: 1-3, 5
Output: pages 1, 2, 3, and 5

The page checks the range against each rendered document. A reversed range such as 5-3 is read as pages 3 through 5. A malformed item or a page outside that document produces a conversion error, and the page must select at least one page.

DOCX to PDF page size, margins, and preview

Page size has Letter and A4. Margins has Normal, Narrow, and Wide. Changing either setting updates the preview page classes and schedules the files for conversion again.

The preview shows the reconstructed document before page-range extraction. The page converts DOCX content to HTML, renders that content into a PDF, and then copies the selected pages. Complex structures can therefore reflow instead of matching Microsoft Word pixel for pixel.

How to convert multiple Word documents into one PDF

Upload several DOCX files and select Merge all documents into a single PDF (in upload order). Each file is converted with the current settings, then the ready PDFs are joined in upload order. Leave the option unchecked to keep separate PDF downloads.

Download all as ZIP creates word-to-pdf-converted.zip with the separate converted PDFs. Download merged PDF creates merged-word-documents.pdf when merging is selected and the files are ready.

What Add PDF/A archival metadata changes

Select Add PDF/A archival metadata to add the keywords PDF/A and archival, plus a creation date, to each generated PDF's metadata. The page does not perform a formal PDF/A conformance check. For a merged PDF, the option adds the PDF/A and archival keywords.

Where Word to PDF conversion can help

A project coordinator can convert a DOCX meeting pack, choose A4, and keep a page range that excludes working notes.

A records team can convert several signed DOCX files, keep their upload order, and download one merged PDF.

A developer can preview report.docx and download its PDF. The source file stays in the browser while the page reads it.

When another PDF converter fits the source

Yes. Drop the DOCX file into Drop .docx files here or select browse files, review the preview, and select Convert. The upload filter accepts DOCX files.

Can I convert multiple Word documents into one PDF?

Yes. Upload multiple DOCX files and select Merge all documents into a single PDF (in upload order). Download merged PDF becomes available when the converted files are ready.

How do I convert only certain Word pages to PDF?

Enter page numbers or ranges in Page range (applied per document), such as 1-3, 5. Leave the field blank for all pages, and keep every number within that document's rendered page count.

Does Word to PDF Converter upload my documents?

No. The page reads each selected file in the browser and performs the DOCX parsing and PDF generation there. The page code does not send the document to a server.

Can I convert an older .doc file?

No. The file input accepts .docx, so save an older .doc document as DOCX before selecting it here.
