Choose a tool by the text change you need
This page groups tools for entered or pasted text. Some child pages also have an Upload control. Choose the page whose name matches the job, then use its controls to format the text and check the result.
Change case, line starts, and indentation
- Case Converter changes entered text to UPPER CASE, lower case, Title Case, Sentence case, alternating case, or sarcastic case.
- Add Prefix & Suffix places custom text before or after each line. You can leave empty or whitespace-only lines unchanged.
- Indent Text includes Add Indent, Remove Indent, Tabs -> Spaces, Spaces -> Tabs, Hanging Indent, and Smart Auto-Format modes.
- Text Formatter puts line numbers, prefixes, suffixes, and indentation into one sequence. Save presets and reapply the sequence later.
Format lists, columns, and Markdown tables
- List Maker turns lines into bullet, numbered, Roman numeral, or checklist output. Auto-Nesting detects indented sub-items, and checklist output includes a preview.
- Align Text Columns formats delimiter-separated or multi-line text. Choose the delimiter, header handling, alignment mode, column spacing, and Spaces or Tabs output.
- Markdown Table Formatter aligns column widths, pads cells, and preserves separator alignment markers in Markdown pipe tables. Use Upload for a table in a text file.
- List Maker applies the selected marker to each line. For example:
alpha beta - alpha - beta
Wrap, align, and stack text
- Text Aligner aligns pasted or uploaded text left, center, right, or justified. Char Padding adds spacing before or after a chosen character string.
- Text Wrapper wraps text at a chosen width between 40 and 200 characters. Soft wrapping keeps word boundaries; hard wrapping uses the character limit.
- Vertical Text Converter stacks characters or whitespace-separated words. Reverse order, Skip spaces, and Keep separate lines as blocks control the layout.
Match common jobs to a tool
Use Add Prefix & Suffix when each log line needs a comment marker or label and blank separators should stay unchanged.
Use List Maker for numbered release-note items. Use Markdown Table Formatter when the same material needs a pipe table with aligned cells.
Use Text Wrapper when plain text must fit a chosen width. Use Vertical Text Converter when characters or words need a stacked layout.
Choose between similar tools
Choose Align Text Columns for delimiter-separated records such as comma or pipe data. Choose Text Aligner for line alignment or spacing around a selected symbol. Choose Text Formatter when several actions, such as line numbers followed by indentation, belong in one sequence.
