How to use the least common multiple calculator
Enter at least two nonzero integers in the Integers (comma or space separated) field. The calculator accepts commas, spaces, or both, then shows the LCM, the GCF work, and the intermediate values used in the calculation. For 4, 6, and 10, the pairwise result is 60.
- Enter two or more nonzero integers in the Integers (comma or space separated) field.
- Separate values with commas, spaces, or a mixture of both. Repeated separators are accepted.
- Select Calculate to display the LCM, Formula & steps, and result actions.
How to find the LCM of multiple numbers
For each pair, the calculator uses LCM(a, b) = |a × b| / GCF(a, b). It finds the GCF with the Euclidean algorithm and puts each remainder in the Formula & steps list, followed by the GCF, product, divisor, and quotient. With more than two values, it carries the current LCM into the next pair.
LCM(4, 6) = 12
LCM(12, 10) = 60
A leading plus or minus sign is accepted. The calculation uses each number's absolute value, so -4 and 6 produce the same LCM as 4 and 6. The result is a whole number with no unit attached.
LCM calculator input limits and errors
Use integer digits with an optional leading + or - sign. The calculator accepts at least two and at most 50 values. Each value can contain up to 100 digits, excluding its sign, and the calculation uses exact BigInt arithmetic.
Empty input, fewer than two values, zero, invalid integer text, more than 50 values, or a value longer than 100 digits produces an error. Text such as units or currency is rejected because the field accepts integer values only.
What the pairwise LCM steps show
For 4, 6, and 10, the calculator first finds LCM(4, 6) = 12. It then uses 12 and 10 for the next pair, producing 60. The steps show the running values in that order.
The first value starts the calculation as its absolute value. Each following value is processed in the order entered, so the Formula & steps list lets you check each pair before reading the final LCM.
Copy an LCM result or choose another math calculator
Select Copy result to place the displayed calculation in the clipboard, or select Download result (.txt) to save the result and steps as a text file. Select Reset to clear the input and any error while hiding the result section. If copying is unavailable, the page reveals the text for manual selection and copying.
Use Math Calculators when you need a different kind of calculation. Choose the Greatest Common Factor Calculator when you need the GCF itself, the Fraction and Ratio Calculator for fraction or proportion work, or the Prime Factorization Calculator when you need a number broken into prime factors.
The calculation runs in the browser. The page's calculation code does not make a request that sends the integers you enter.
Changing the input hides the current result. Select Calculate again to generate steps for the new values.
Frequently asked questions
What is the LCM of 4 and 6?
The LCM of 4 and 6 is 12. Both numbers divide 12 evenly, and the calculator shows the GCF step used to reach that result.
How do I find the LCM of multiple numbers?
Enter all the nonzero integers in the Integers (comma or space separated) field and select Calculate. The calculator combines the values pairwise, such as LCM(4, 6) followed by LCM(12, 10).
Can I enter negative integers in an LCM calculator?
Yes, a leading minus sign is accepted. The calculator uses absolute values, so -4 and 6 produce the same LCM as 4 and 6.
Why does an LCM input with 0 fail?
An LCM involving 0 is undefined for this calculator, so zero triggers a validation error. Every entered integer must be nonzero.
