How to convert PPTX to images

Add one or more PowerPoint (.pptx) files, choose the slides and output settings, then inspect the rendered images before downloading them. The converter reads the presentation in the browser and creates a PNG or JPG for each selected slide. Multiple images can go into a ZIP, depending on ZIP packaging.

Convert selected PPTX slides to images

  1. Drop PPTX files here, or click browse files. The file picker accepts multiple presentations.
  2. Enter slide numbers or ranges in Slides, such as 1-3, 5, 8-10. Leave the field blank for every slide.
  3. Choose a Scale, such as 1.5x - standard or 3x - print.
  4. Choose PNG or JPG under Output format. The JPG Quality control appears for JPG.
  5. Choose a Background. Select Color after choosing Custom color.
  6. Choose ZIP packaging, then use Convert, Preview, the row-level Download control, or Download all.

What Slides accepts

The Slides field accepts individual numbers and numeric ranges separated by commas. Invalid entries and numbers outside the presentation are ignored. Reversed ranges are sorted into ascending order, and repeated numbers produce one image.

Slides: 1-3, 5
Output: presentation-slide-01.png
        presentation-slide-02.png
        presentation-slide-03.png
        presentation-slide-05.png

How the output settings change the images

PNG produces PNG files. JPG uses the JPG Quality value from 1% to 100%; the control starts at 92% and appears only for JPG. Scale starts at 1.5x - standard and includes 1x, 2x, 3x, and 4x.

Slide's own background keeps the rendered slide background. Solid white replaces it, while Custom color uses the value selected in Color. Transparent (PNG only) creates a transparent PNG. When JPG is selected, that option is disabled; if it was active, the interface switches to Solid white.

How slide elements appear in the images

Each output is a flat raster image. Text, pictures, shapes, fills, and slide backgrounds are drawn into it, so the file does not keep editable text or slide objects. Tables are rebuilt as HTML tables. Charts, SmartArt diagrams, and other graphic frames render as placeholder boxes.

Gradient fills, pattern fills, and picture or texture fills on shapes are approximated. After conversion, the tool can show Rendering differences detected with general messages rather than slide numbers.

How to check and download the images

After conversion, Preview displays thumbnails for the selected slides and shows each image size. The row-level Download control downloads that presentation's images, while Download all handles the completed images across the file list.

For one presentation, ZIP if more than one image downloads one image on its own and puts multiple images in a ZIP. Always ZIP packages the results, and Never ZIP (download individually) starts separate image downloads.

When to choose PPTX to PDF

Use this page when each selected slide needs its own PNG or JPG file. It is part of Presentation Convert Tools. Choose the PowerPoint to PDF Converter for a PDF with speaker-note pages or handout layouts, quality presets, batch conversion, or PDF merging.

Frequently asked questions

Does converting PPTX to images upload my file anywhere?

No. JSZip reads the selected .pptx in the browser, and the script renders the slides into image object URLs. The code contains no upload request for the file.

How do I convert only certain PPTX slides to images?

Enter slide numbers or ranges in Slides, separated by commas, such as 2, 4-6. A blank field selects every slide.

Can I make transparent images from a PPTX?

Yes. Choose PNG, then choose Transparent (PNG only) under Background. JPG output cannot use that background mode.

Will charts and SmartArt render in PPTX images?

Charts and SmartArt render as placeholder boxes. The converter can show a general rendering-differences notice when it finds unsupported slide elements.
