How to convert PowerPoint to PDF

Start with one or more .pptx files. Choose a slide range, page layout, and export quality before clicking Convert. You can download each PDF separately, package the results in a ZIP, or merge them in upload order.

  1. Add files: Drop .pptx files into Drop .pptx files here, or click browse files.
  2. Select slides: Leave Slide range (applied per presentation) blank for every slide, or enter a value such as 1-5, 8.
  3. Set the output: Pick a Layout and an Export quality preset.
  4. Choose extras: Select Include speaker notes as text pages (Full slide layout only) or Merge all presentations into a single PDF (in upload order).
  5. Review and convert: Select a file's Preview control, click Convert, then use the individual download buttons, Download all as ZIP, or Download merged PDF.

How to select PPTX slides for PDF

Slide range (applied per presentation) uses slide numbers starting at 1. Separate entries with commas and use a hyphen for an inclusive range. The same value is applied to every uploaded presentation.

Slide range: 1-5, 8
PDF slides: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 8

A blank field includes all slides. Numbers above the presentation's slide count are ignored. The page shows an error for a nonnumeric start, a start below 1, a descending range, or a selection with no slide in the file.

What PPTX to PDF layouts and quality change

Full slide (one per page) places one slide on each landscape Letter page. Handout - 2 slides per page, Handout - 4 slides per page, and Handout - 6 slides per page place numbered slides in the matching page grid. Include speaker notes as text pages (Full slide layout only) adds a text page after a selected slide when that slide has notes.

Standard (fast) renders at scale 1.5, High (recommended) at 2, and Print-ready (larger file) at 3. The presets change rendering scale and can change the PDF size. They do not restore effects the converter cannot render.

What a PowerPoint PDF conversion cannot render

This page accepts .pptx files. Older .ppt files need to be saved as .pptx first, and password-protected presentations need the password removed before conversion.

The converter rebuilds text, images, and their positions. Animations, embedded video, gradients, and some chart or SmartArt graphics appear as labeled placeholder boxes. The presentation is read and rendered in the browser, and its contents are not uploaded to a server.

Use handouts, notes pages, or one merged PDF

For a meeting handout, select the slides you need and choose Handout - 2 slides per page or another handout layout.

For class or workshop material, select Include speaker notes as text pages (Full slide layout only). The converter places a notes-text page after each selected slide that contains speaker notes.

For several decks, upload the files together. Download the PDFs as a ZIP, or select Merge all presentations into a single PDF (in upload order) and save one combined file.

When to use PowerPoint to PDF or PPTX to Images

Use Presentation Convert Tools when you want to compare presentation output options. Choose PPTX to Images Converter when each slide needs to become a separate PNG or JPG with image-format, scale, background, and ZIP options. Choose this page when the result needs PDF pages, speaker-note pages, handouts, or one merged PDF.
