How to use the random name generator
Choose a Nationality, set Gender, and enter a Quantity. The page generates fictional full names as those controls change. The available Nationality presets are American, British, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Brazilian, Mexican, Russian, Nordic, and Indian. Enable Fake Identity to add a city and an @example.test email address to each result.
- Choose a Nationality preset.
- Select Any, Male, or Female under Gender.
- Enter a Quantity between
1and100. - Enable Fake Identity when each result should include a city and email address.
- Click Copy all or Download TXT after the results appear.
Each change replaces the current list. With Fake Identity off, each line contains a name. With it on, each line contains the name, a city, and an email address in that order.
Generate random names by nationality and gender
Nationality selects the first-name and family-name pools. Gender selects the male pool, the female pool, or both when you choose Any. The generator selects a first name and a family name for every result, so repeated results can contain the same names.
For example, a batch with these settings uses the American female pool:
Nationality: American
Gender: Female
Quantity: 2
Fake Identity: off
Emily Johnson
Sarah Mitchell
These are fictional outputs. A generated name can still match a real person by coincidence, and the page does not check identity or uniqueness.
What Fake Identity adds to a generated name
Fake Identity adds one city from the selected Nationality preset and one email address to each result. The email is built from the generated name in lowercase, with characters outside a-z and 0-9 replaced by periods, followed by @example.test. The city and email are absent when the setting is off.
Nationality: American
Gender: Female
Quantity: 1
Fake Identity: on
Name: Emily Johnson
City: New York
Email: [email protected]
The generated line places those three values together. The sample shows the fields separately so the name, city, and email are easy to identify.
How to copy or download generated names
After a batch appears under Generated names, Copy all sends the complete list to the clipboard. Download TXT saves the same list as random-names.txt. The text file puts one result on each line, including the city and email when Fake Identity is enabled.
Choose a generator for other output types
This page creates names from a Nationality preset and Gender choice. The Text Generation Tools category lists related generators. Use the Fake Identity Generator for fictional identity records with identity cards and JSON output. Use the Username Generator for gaming, professional, or aesthetic usernames. Use the Random String Generator for strings controlled by length, character type, and count.
Examples of generated names in use
- A fiction writer can choose a preset and Gender, then copy a name into a character draft.
- A developer testing a profile form can enable Fake Identity and download the TXT batch for test input.
- A designer preparing a mockup can set a small Quantity and paste the names into sample cards or tables.
