How to map keywords to emojis
Enter a caption and Emoji Mapper replaces recognized keywords with emoji values in the read-only output. Words such as love, coffee, and pizza use the built-in mapping. Tone chooses Happy, Neutral, or Angry values, and Instagram Style changes the caption layout.
How to use the Emoji Mapper
- Enter or paste a caption into the input area.
- Move
Tonewhen a built-in keyword needs another emoji value. - Enable
Instagram Styleto split sentence-like text into separate lines. - Open
+ Custom Mappingsto replace a keyword with your own value. - Use
CopyorDownloadwhen the output appears.
How to add emojis to text with Tone
Each built-in keyword has three values. The slider groups them as Happy, Neutral, and Angry, so the same word can produce a different emoji while the other text stays unchanged.
Input: I love coffee and pizza
Tone: Happy
Output: I ❤️ ☕ and 🍕
Matching ignores letter case and uses word boundaries. A keyword still matches beside punctuation, while unmatched words stay as entered. The script checks longer keys before shorter keys, so a longer custom phrase takes precedence when both keys could match.
How custom emoji mappings are read
Open + Custom Mappings and enter one rule per line. Put either an equals sign or a colon between the keyword and its replacement.
coffee = ☕
campaign : 🚀
Blank or malformed lines are ignored. Keys are compared without case differences, and a later rule replaces an earlier rule with the same key. Custom rules override built-in keywords. Emoji values are inserted as written, so Tone does not change a custom value.
What Instagram Style changes in a caption
When Instagram Style is enabled, each non-empty input line is trimmed. The script splits after a period, exclamation mark, or question mark followed by whitespace, joins the pieces with blank lines, and appends three dot-separator lines. With the option off, keyword replacement keeps the input's existing line structure.
Upload accepts the file types listed in the file control: .txt, .csv, .log, .md, and text/plain. The mapping script reads the page fields and makes no network request with the entered text, so the transformation stays in the browser tab.
Examples with captions and replies
- For "New sale this weekend," add a custom
salemapping before usingCopy. - Compare the same reply with
Toneset to Happy and Neutral. The words stay the same while built-in emoji values can change. - Paste several caption lines, enable
Instagram Style, and useDownloadafter the output is formatted.
When a different text tool fits better
Use Emoji Mapper for keyword-to-emoji substitutions. In Text Transformation Tools, choose Find and Replace Text for literal or regular-expression replacement, HTML Entity Encoder / Decoder for entity references, or Slug Converter when the output should be a URL slug.
