Fantasy Points Calculator

Build your own scoring-rule table, enter each stat's quantity, and see the point contribution of every stat plus the total. Save your ruleset in this browser or export it as a file for reuse.

Scoring rules

Add a row for every stat you want to score - a name, the points awarded per unit (positive for scoring events, negative for turnovers or penalties), and the quantity recorded. Use "Add stat row" for anything not listed. Nothing is scored unless it has a row here.

Presets are common patterns for reference only, not any specific platform's official rulebook. Applying one asks you to confirm first and replaces the current rows.

Stat name Points per unit Quantity Points

A saved or exported ruleset stores stat names and points-per-unit only (not quantities), so you can reuse the same scoring rules with a new stat line next time.

How to use the Fantasy Points Calculator

Set the scoring table before entering a player line. Each row needs a stat name, a Points per unit value, and a Quantity, and the calculator uses those rows to produce the points for each stat and the total.

  1. Choose an Optional common preset, or start with the blank row.
  2. Enter each Stat name, Points per unit value, and Quantity; use Add stat row for another event.
  3. Select Calculate and review the total, formula, and per-stat breakdown.
  4. Save to this browser or export the rules when you want to reuse the scoring table.

How custom fantasy scoring rules are applied

Each row uses quantity × points per unit. Points per unit accepts decimal and negative values. Quantity must be 0 or more, and a stat with no row is not scored.

Stat name: Reception
Points per unit: 1
Quantity: 5
Points: 5.00

Calculate shows the total and each row's contribution. A negative Points per unit value subtracts points, such as a turnover rule set to -2.

What the fantasy scoring presets change

The Optional common preset menu includes Standard (non-PPR, offense), Half-PPR (offense), and Full PPR (offense). The Reception value changes between them:

Standard (non-PPR, offense): Reception = 0
Half-PPR (offense): Reception = 0.5
Full PPR (offense): Reception = 1

Select Apply preset (confirm) to load one. After confirmation, the preset replaces the current stat rows. Review the values before selecting Calculate. These presets are reference patterns, not an official platform rulebook.

What Calculate rejects

Calculate stops when a used row lacks a Stat name, Points per unit, or Quantity, when a value is invalid, or when Quantity is below 0. Duplicate stat names are rejected without regard to letter case. If the same name has different Points per unit values, the calculator reports a conflicting rule, so combine those rows into one.

The row's remove button has the title Remove stat. If you remove every row, the table keeps one blank row. Reset clears current rows, the result, errors, and the Ruleset name field. Saved rulesets stay available.

What the result contains

After Calculate, the Result section shows Total fantasy points, the Formula used, and a table with Stat, Quantity, Points per unit, and Points. The formula adds each row's quantity multiplied by its Points per unit value.

Use Copy result to copy the text result, or Download result (.txt) to save it as a text file.

How saved rulesets work

Enter a Ruleset name and select Save to this browser to store stat names and Points per unit values in browser localStorage. Quantities are not saved, so Load restores the scoring table without a player stat line. Delete removes a saved ruleset after confirmation.

Export ruleset (.json) creates a JSON file with the ruleset name and valid stat rules. Import ruleset (.json) reads a JSON array or an exported object, keeps named rows with numeric Points per unit values, and loads them for review. The calculator does not fetch live player stats or assume a platform's official scoring system.

Where the calculator keeps your data

The calculator handles the scoring rules and quantities in the browser. Saved rulesets use browser localStorage, imported files are read with the browser's file reader, and the result is created as text in the page. The script contains no request for live player data.

Choose another sports calculator

Use the Sports Calculators category for other sports formulas. Choose Baseball Statistics Calculator for batting average, slugging percentage, ERA, and WHIP together. Choose Baseball ERA Calculator for earned run average from earned runs and innings pitched in baseball notation. Choose Baseball WHIP Calculator for walks, hits, and innings pitched.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate fantasy points with custom scoring?

Enter a Stat name, Points per unit value, and Quantity for each event, then select Calculate. The tool multiplies each row and adds the row results.

Can I use Standard, Half-PPR, or Full PPR scoring?

Yes. Choose the matching Optional common preset and select Apply preset (confirm). The preset replaces the current rows, so check its values against the rules you need.

Why does Fantasy Points Calculator reject my stat row?

A row is rejected when its Stat name, Points per unit, or Quantity is missing or invalid, when Quantity is below 0, or when a stat name is duplicated. A duplicate with a different Points per unit value is reported as a conflicting rule.

Can I save fantasy scoring rules for later?

Yes. Give the rules a Ruleset name and select Save to this browser. You can later Load, Delete, Export ruleset (.json), or use Import ruleset (.json); quantities are entered separately for each stat line.
