How to use a QR code generator
Choose the content type first, then fill in the fields that appear. The preview updates as you change the payload, colors, error correction, or Center logo (optional). Download PNG for a raster file or Download SVG for the vector version.
How to create a QR code
- Select URL, Text, Email, Phone, or Wi-Fi.
- Enter the fields shown for that mode, such as Website URL or Network name (SSID).
- Set Foreground color, Background color, and Error correction. Select Transparent when the background should have no fill.
- Under Center logo (optional), choose image, set Logo size, and read the contrast message beside the preview.
- Choose Download PNG or Download SVG. Test-scan the saved code with a phone camera before printing or publishing it.
What each QR mode puts in the payload
URL trims Website URL before using it. Text uses Plain text as entered. Email checks Recipient email, then adds the filled Subject (optional) and Message (optional) fields to a mailto: payload. Phone trims Phone number and adds tel:. Wi-Fi combines Network name (SSID), Password, Security, and Hidden network, escaping backslashes, semicolons, commas, colons, and quotation marks in the Wi-Fi fields.
Recipient email: [email protected]
Subject (optional): Subject line
Message (optional): Pre-filled message body...
QR payload:
mailto:[email protected]?subject=Subject%20line&body=Pre-filled%20message%20body...
What Error correction and Center logo change
Error correction has four settings: L - 7%, M - 15%, Q - 25%, and H - 30%. Higher settings leave more recovery information in the code. When a center logo is present, the page uses H - 30%, disables the other settings, and keeps Logo size between 10% and 30%.
Foreground color: #000000
Background color: #ffffff
Error correction: M - 15%
Input limits and scan checks
Plain text accepts 1,500 characters. Subject (optional) accepts 150, Message (optional) accepts 500, and Network name (SSID) and Password each accept 64. Email needs an address that passes the page's email check. URL, Phone number, and Network name (SSID) need a value. The QR library can reject a payload that is too long for the selected Error correction setting; when that happens, the preview and download buttons stay unavailable.
Choose image accepts image files. The page reads the selected image and uses it with the typed payload in the browser to draw the preview and create the files. Low contrast changes the guidance to a warning. The message also tells you to test-scan the code before printing or publishing.
Examples for each QR mode

- For a guest Wi-Fi sign, enter Network name (SSID), Password, Security, and Hidden network.
- For a contact sheet, add Recipient email or Phone number, then check the saved PNG with a phone camera.

Select URL, enter the address in Website URL, then choose Download PNG or Download SVG after the preview appears.

Should I download PNG or SVG for a QR code?
Download PNG when you need a raster image, and download SVG when you need the vector version of the code.
Does this QR code generator upload my data?
The page builds the QR code in your browser, including the content and image used for a center logo, then creates the PNG or SVG download there. The page code does not send that content in a request.
