How to convert MP4 to MP3

Choose an MP3 bitrate for extracted audio
MP3 bitrate sets the audio encoding rate. The menu contains 128 kbps - smaller file, 192 kbps - balanced, 256 kbps - high quality, and 320 kbps - best quality. MP3 is a lossy format. The selected rate is used for encoding, and the result row shows the MP3 size.

What happens when you extract audio from video
The converter reads each video in the browser and passes it to FFmpeg/WebAssembly. It uses the -vn option, which leaves video out of the MP3. The source needs an audio stream. A video without one receives a conversion error.
On first use, Loading audio encoder (~30 MB, one-time download)... can appear while the encoder loads from jsDelivr. That request loads the encoder files; the selected video stays in the browser for conversion.
