Image Effects Editor

Build a stack of non-destructive visual effects - blur, pixelation, color adjustments, borders, rounded corners, and drop shadows - with live before/after preview. Everything runs locally in your browser, nothing is uploaded.

How to use an image effects editor

Load one or more images, build an effect layer stack, and inspect the canvas before you export it. Each preview starts with the selected image, then applies the enabled layers in order. You can change a layer and check the result again.

How to add effects to an image

  1. Drop images here, or click browse files, to load one or more image files.
  2. Select a filename in the file list to make that image active.
  3. Choose an effect in Add effect layer, then click the Add effect layer button. The list includes Blur, Pixelate, Brightness, Exposure, Contrast, Saturation, Hue, Color invert, Grayscale, Border, Padding, Rounded corners, and Drop shadow.
  4. Adjust the layer, click Apply, then click Download in a completed row or Download all as ZIP.

The file input accepts image MIME types. Files the browser cannot read as images are skipped.

What image effect controls change

Blur has Radius, and Pixelate has Block size. Brightness, Contrast, and Saturation use Amount. Exposure uses Exposure, Hue uses Rotation, and Color invert and Grayscale use Intensity. Border has Width and Border color. Padding has Size, Padding color, and Transparent.

Rounded corners uses Radius. Drop shadow has Offset X, Offset Y, Blur, Drop Shadow color, and Opacity. Each layer has an enable switch. The top layer applies last.

How to blur or pixelate part of an image

Blur and Pixelate have Whole image and Region choices under Area. Choose Region, click Edit region, and drag a rectangle over the active preview. While an enabled region layer is present, Apply processes the active image only.

Input: image canvas
Layers: Border, Width 12; Padding, Size 24
Output: width + 72 px, height + 72 px

That output change comes from 24 pixels of Border plus 48 pixels of Padding on each dimension. Rounded corners keeps the canvas dimensions, and Drop shadow adds a margin for the shadow. The editor does not crop or resize the original image content.

Compare, reorder, and export edited images

Press and hold Hold to view original to compare the active image with its edited preview. Use Move layer up, Move layer down, or Remove layer to change the stack. Reset layers clears the current stack. The editor has no undo-history control.

Choose PNG (lossless, alpha) or WebP (alpha) in Output format. WebP reveals Quality with a 1-100% slider. A single download uses the source name with an -effects suffix. Download all as ZIP creates image-effects.zip.

Choose an output format

  1. Choose PNG (lossless, alpha) or WebP (alpha) from Output format. Selecting WebP reveals Quality, with a 1-100% range.

What each effect layer changes

Use Border or Padding when the output needs extra canvas space. Transparent leaves the added Padding area clear; turning it off uses Padding color. Rounded corners clips the image to a rounded rectangle without changing its dimensions.

Use Drop shadow when the output needs a shadow margin. Blur and Pixelate can cover the whole image or a dragged Region, while the color controls change brightness, exposure, contrast, saturation, hue, inversion, or grayscale.

Choose the right image editing tool

Use Image Edit Tools to compare related image changes. Choose Image Cropper for removing outer areas or using an aspect-ratio crop. Choose Image Resizer for exact pixel dimensions or a social preset. Choose Image Watermark Tool for text or a logo with position, opacity, rotation, or tiled repeat.

Frequently asked questions

Can I edit multiple images with the image effects editor?

Yes. Loaded images can be processed together when enabled Blur and Pixelate layers use Whole image. An enabled Blur or Pixelate layer set to Region limits Apply to the active image.

How do I blur part of a picture?

Add Blur, choose Region, click Edit region, and drag over the area in the preview. The same workflow applies to Pixelate.

Does the image effects editor resize or crop images?

The editor does not crop or resize the original image content. Border, Padding, and Drop shadow can change the output canvas dimensions.

Are my images uploaded when I use this editor?

Selected images are loaded with object URLs and processed through Canvas in the browser. The page script does not send an upload request for image processing.

Can I undo an image effect after adding it?

The editor has no undo-history control. Disable, edit, reorder, or remove a layer, or choose Reset layers to clear the current setup.
