How to crop images
Load a JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, or BMP file, then set the crop shape and position in the preview. Image Cropper shows Original size, Crop size, and Crop ratio beside the image. Click Apply when the crop is ready; the result is exported as a PNG, and the selected files stay in your browser.
- Add images with Drop images here or click browse files. Select a file name in the file list to make that image active.
- Choose Freeform, a ratio such as 1:1 or 16:9, or a social preset such as Instagram Post.
- Drag the crop box to move it. Drag a corner handle to change its size, or use Rotate left and Rotate right for a quarter-turn.
- Keep the Rule-of-thirds grid, turn on Safe-area guide, or clear both guides, then click Apply.
Set the crop shape
Freeform lets you choose the crop area without a ratio. The buttons under Crop to ratio constrain the box to 1:1, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, 9:16, 3:4, 2:3, or 21:9. Social media crop presets apply named ratios such as Instagram Story at 9:16, Facebook Post at 1200:630, and LinkedIn Banner at 4:1.
Input: Instagram Story
Crop ratio: 0.563
Output: PNG
A social preset sets the crop shape, not a target pixel width or height. Read Original size, Crop size, and Crop ratio beside the preview while you place the box.
Batch crop images and download PNG files
Add several files to one workspace and select each file name before adjusting its crop. The file list shows Original, Crop size, and Status for every row. After you click Apply, a completed row gets a download control, and Download all as ZIP collects the ready PNG files.
Every export uses PNG, including crops made from JPG, WEBP, GIF, and BMP files. A file that cannot be cropped keeps its error in the Status column and does not receive a result.
Check guides before applying the crop
Rule-of-thirds grid is checked when the workspace opens. Clear it under Guides when the lines get in the way of judging the image.
Safe-area guide adds an inner overlay to the crop box. It is a visual reference and does not set platform-specific inset measurements.
Use the preview to place the subject, then compare Crop size with Original size before clicking Apply.
